The passing of Lennart Wallman – the founder
of Fergas
The Fergas family is mourning the passing of Lennart Wallman, the founder of Fergas.
On Sunday morning 29th of January 2012 Lennart died at the age of 88 after his health deteriorated over the last week.
Lennart was born in Sjösäter, Åtvidaberg in Sweden on Aug 11th 1923 as one of 8 siblings. His father was a blacksmith.
In 1946 he married the love of his life, Maj, and they were married until the end just over 65 years!
Lennart started Fergas 1949 and stayed with the company working until the age of 86. He saw his company grow from a small workshop to a global company. He was part of the next generations taking on the leadership and the continuation of his calling.
In 2009 he joined in the celebrations of the company's 60 year anniversary.
Lennart will be greatly missed by all who knew him but we rest assured that he is now with his heavenly father and there will be no more pain nor sorrow.
